In the viral video, a chef from the renowned Rameshwaram cafe is seen using a broom to clean the cooking surface before generously sprinkling the dosas with ghee. Diners have a hard time digesting the restaurant, which is understandable.

The video, posted on Facebook by ‘Thefoodiebae’, shows the chef wetting the tawa with water and then cleaning it with a broom. After that, he pours the Dosa batter on the big tawa and prepares many portions.

However, things go from bad to worse when huge amounts of ghee are poured over the Dosas, followed by traditional Aloo Masala and spices.

Therefore, the sight of a broom on the tawa, combined with an overabundance of ghee, has led netizens to question the authenticity of calling it the “most high-tech dosa”.

How did people react on the Internet?

“Please don’t use the broom to spread the oil,” one person expressed concern. The person added: “We know you’re winging it, but you could have a custom-made oil brush instead… It’s no fun seeing brooms, toothbrushes, toilet brushes and windshield wipers repurposed for cooking… For certain needs , Specific tools have been created.”

Another user joked: “I hope the broom is not used to sweep the floor after the restaurant closes…”, while a third claimed: “I will never eat this kind of dirty dosa cleaning tawa with broom and spreading so much.” . “The oil and Messi masala irritated me a lot.”

Meanwhile, people concerned about the excessive use of ghee have expressed their concern. “If you eat this dosa twice, you will see the sky,” one user jokingly claimed.

Another highlighted their health concerns and added: “Don’t you realize that using so much ghee harms the health of the consumer?” “How is it possible that they produce these products to make money and sell things?”

The Facebook post has received more than 14 million views since it was shared. Watch the video here.
