He did this so he could join a nearby racing competition. Zhao did not live with her daughter after the divorce, so she could not gather all the details of the incident. However, her daughter later told Zhao that she was trapped alone in Peng’s car while he was racing.
Although criminally negligent, Peng made his daughter breakfast and gave her his phone to keep her entertained during the race.
