The Gurugram resident recently reported that the TV was damaged by a technician from Urban Company who came to install his new LED TV.

He was not happy and contacted customer service at the local utility company.

He was given compensation of only Rs. 10,000 for a TV that should have cost approximately Rs. 40,000.

The angry customer’s friend took to microblogging platform ‘X’ to post photographs of the broken TV along with Urban Company’s apology and offer of just Rs. 10,000 in compensation.

Even the customer, Akash Jaini, intervened in the speech to express his displeasure.

He included screenshots of the conversation with an Urban Company representative who acknowledged that his technician was to blame for the TV’s malfunction, along with the statement: “Ridiculous treatment despite admitting fault in destroying a new 55-inch QLED TV , they insisted.” “not bear more than 25% of the repair cost.”

“I am very ashamed that the fault was on our part and caused a significant loss to you. I am fully aware of this; unfortunately, I cannot start with more than Rs 10,000 due to certain policies,” he said. the official said to Akash.

Akash said the corporation changed the payment to Rs. 20,000 after more conversations.

The fact that @UC_Assist called offering 20k indicates that they are not restricted to the contractual limit of 10k. I refrained from demanding payment of the entire sum.

Akash claimed that this time the company denied the technician’s mistake, which made him even more angry.

“Then they called the service technician and suddenly decided that he was never responsible for the damage,” he added.

Akash summed up the experience with them. “I have call recordings where they say the service professional can’t be lying so I’m lying/being dishonest about the damage despite having no proof,” he wrote. “I also have call recordings of the 20k offer exceeding their supposed contractual limits.”

Updates: @UC_Asistencia It’s called a 20k offer, which means they are not bound by your contractual limit of 10k. I denied having insisted on compensation for the full amount. Then they called the service technician and suddenly decided that he was never responsible for the damage… https://t.co/pym6kUJLI8

Hello @urbancompany_UC my friend @akashjaini I had recently hired their services. Your guy ended up irrevocably breaking his INR 40K TV. Now you are telling us that you can only refund 10,000. Is this a stupid joke? You’d better cover the full cost. Attaching screenshots. pic.twitter.com/VmpDKrncTM

@urbancompany_UC I requested air conditioning gas refill service, a guy came down and filled the gas and after a month the gas was leaking again. When I spoke to customer service, they told me that the warranty is only 1 month. How many days did the air conditioning work? only 1 hour
