Shock waves are blowing from Melbourne, where a tragedy cost the lives of father and son. The two members of a family passed away over the Easter weekend. Crystal Cascade Death
Among two victims who died at a popular waterfall in the Crystal Cascades, one was a 21-year-old son and the other was a 59-year-old father. The son reportedly died in far north Queensland trying to save his father from treacherous waters when they suddenly drowned. Sisira Gajanayaka
Reportedly, father and son were with four others at Crystal Cascades and swimming in the popular waterfall. The son’s father was identified as Sisira Gajanayaka, while the son was identified as Themi, who was trying to save her father from the treacherous waters. But accidentally, they both drowned in the waters. Both reportedly were struggling to get out of the water. A police spokesman said they struggled to get out of the water. Emergency services arrived at the scene around 5:00 p.m. The rescue operation was launched immediately, but they were not discovered despite the fact that two truck bombs and the Swift Water rescue team were involved in the search for the father and son. Subsequently, they were found and pulled out of the water, but died. Police said the duo could not be revived by paramedics and they were pronounced dead a short time later.
