Dentist arrested for offering indecent proposal
In the city of General Santos, a 69-year-old dentist was arrested after making an inappropriate proposal to a young patient. Recently, a dentist was arrested on suspicion of giving a 15-year-old patient free braces in exchange for acting inappropriately. Although the woman and her family chose not to press charges, authorities detained the suspect. The victim went to the police to report the alleged crime. The police investigation claims the elderly dentist offered the young woman free braces and implied he would do the dental work if she consented to doing inappropriate things with him. The woman, however, rejected her offer, and that’s how the dentist allegedly touched her sexually. The dentist was quickly arrested by authorities on suspicion of involvement in the incident.
The victim and his family decided not to press charges even after the arrest. The culprit was eventually released. Major Ivan Charles Abastillas of Lagao Police Station clarified that the victim may not have filed charges against the suspect for two reasons. He asked people to call the police and report similar incidents.
