The Hindu holiday of Diwali, or Deepavali, falls on the fifteenth day of Kartika, the holiest month. Diwali, which will take place on November 12, 2023, celebrates the triumph of good over evil and light over darkness.

Worshiping the Hindu goddess of wealth and prosperity, Lakshmi, is one of the most important customs observed during Diwali.
Lakshmi Puja timings in the UK can change a little depending on where you live, so you should always check with your local temple or religious authorities for exact information.
