Diya Mukherjee was born on May 17, 1999 in Barasat, West Bengal. Diya studied at Aditya Academy High School, Barasat. After completing her studies, Diya went to the University of Kolkata, where she obtained her graduation degree.
Career
Diya Mukherjee started her acting career when she first appeared in Zee Bangla’s soap opera Sati in 2012. Later, she got the opportunity to play a lead role in Colors Bangla’s popular soap opera Tumi Ele Tai in 2015. After becoming popular , Diya appeared in the Zee Bangla soap opera. romantic show Seemarekha in 2017 as Bindi Mitra along with Abhishek Boss as Priyojeet Mitra.
In 2019, Diya played the role of Sarbani Roy Choudhury in the Bengali biographical soap opera Netaji. The Netaji series was based on the life story of Subhash Chandra Bose. It was directed by Suman Das and first aired on January 14, 2019. That same year, Diya also appeared in Nojor as Ishani Chowdhury Singha Roy. This series was a remake of the Hindi series Nazar. Later in November 2023, Diya once again made headlines for playing a lead role in Star Jalsha’s new drama series Kotha.
