Portal E Shram
On August 26, 2021, the Ministry of Labor and Employment launched the E Shram portal. This portal was created in response to a Supreme Court order to register unorganized workers. Thus, this beneficial E Shram helps numerous unorganized workers to avail benefits of different welfare schemes from both state and central governments.

Over the years, various Indian governments have launched numerous welfare schemes to provide benefits to unorganized workers. However, due to lack of knowledge about these plans and time-consuming processes, workers were unable to access the benefits of these wellness plans. Therefore, in the light of all these issues, eShram portal was launched.

Objectives of E Shram Portal
E Shram portal was launched with an aim to register around 38 million unorganized workers in India. E Shram is used to create a National Database of Unorganized Workers (NDUW) of unorganized workers. More than 28 crore registrations have already been completed through E Shram website, CSC, SSK and Umang registrations.
The main objectives of the eShram Portal are the following:
- Create a centralized database of unorganized workers (UW).
- Improve efficiency in the implementation of Social Security Services for the UW.
- Share UW information with central and state government ministries, departments, agencies, boards and organizations. This will allow them to offer social security and welfare plans to UWs efficiently.
- Build a comprehensive database that will help manage any national crisis like Covid-19.
Login to E Shram Portal CSC
CSC E-Governance Services India Limited is managed by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. Through the CSC Digital Seva portal, unorganized workers, who are registered in the NDUW database, can access numerous services available on the Digital Seva portal. It provides the following services:

- ELECTRICITY
- GOVERNMENT

To log in to the CSC portal, see these steps:
- Visit the authorized web portal of CSC E-Governance Services India Limited. Alternatively, visit the E shram registration website and click Sign in for CSC.
- Click Sign In.
- Enter username/email and password.
- After entering the captcha, click login.
- Enjoy seamless access to the Digital Seva portal.
Shramik Card Status
The status of the Shramik card can be easily checked through the authorized E Shram portal. Unorganized workers must open the beneficiary status verification link and enter the UAN number and other necessary information. Many details about the status will be generated.
E Shram Portal Registration
To register on the E Shram Portal, follow these steps:
- Go to the authorized portal of E Shram.
- Click “Sign up for eShram.”
- At home, enter your mobile number and a captcha.
- Please answer two questions about EPFO and ESIC membership in Yes/No.
- Click Submit OTP.
- Now, enter your address, type of job, skill, etc.
- Enter your bank details and consult the self-declaration.
- Preview the form and click submit.

Shramik Card Download Link
Shramik card can be downloaded through a download link available on the authorized website. However, to download the Shramik card, a person must be registered on the eShram portal.
Check out these steps to download Shramik card:
- Visit the eShram registration website.
- Click on Already Registered and select Update Profile Using Aadhaar.
- Enter your mobile number and captcha.
- Validate OTP by clicking on the Validate option.
- Consult and verify the details.
- To download Shramik Card click download.
