Elon Musk’s recent announcement about the appointment of a new CEO for Twitter came just one day after he mentioned the hiring of a new CEO without disclosing the person’s name.
Soon after, reports surfaced that Linda Yaccarino, president of NBCUniversal’s Global Advertising and Partnerships division, was in talks to take over as CEO of Twitter.
On Friday, prior to Musk’s confirmation, Yaccarino resigned from his position at NBCUniversal.

Musk recently officially changed the name of the company to “X Corp.” as the parent entity of Twitter.
