Emiway Bantai was born on November 13, 1995 in Bengaluru, Karnataka, into a middle-class orthodox Muslim family. Her ancestors come from Karnataka. His real name is Shahrukh Shaikh, but he later changed his name to “Emiway”, a mix of Lil Wayne and Eminem.
Emiway attended Little Angels High School, Sion. She excelled academically until the tenth grade, but when she entered the eleventh grade, she began to dedicate more time to rapping. She struggled with despair after failing 12th grade.

Career
Initially, Emiway started writing rap and composing music for fun, but soon got an amazing response from the audience. She filmed her first music video in 2013 titled “Glint Lock” with Minta. He worked as a helper at the “Hard Rock Café” during his early days as a rapper to make ends meet.
Emiway released his debut Hindi rap, Aur Bantai, in 2014, which instantly became an internet hit. She did a duet with Raftar on the song Sadak which gave Emiway to the Bollywood film industry. She rose to fame after making her Bollywood debut in 2019 with Zoya Akhtar’s film Gully Boy, starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt.
