Florida ‘Grinch’ follows Amazon delivery truck and steals packages to use as Christmas gifts

A Florida woman followed an Amazon delivery driver around her neighborhood and stole delivered packages she planned to pass off as Christmas gifts, police said.

Kensley Mott, 33, was allegedly caught on surveillance footage Monday sneaking up on her victims’ front doors to snatch their loot, which she later admitted she planned to use as a gift for the holiday season.

The warm-weather Grinch, dressed all in black, looked through the peephole before fleeing with two packages, similar to how the infamous villain Dr. Suess carried out his dastardly crimes, the video shows.

The brazen robbery may not have been the first time Mott has scanned the Sun Ridge Village subdivision in Winter Haven, a city 40 miles southwest of Orlando. A neighbor reported an attempted package theft just a week earlier.

He also has a criminal record that includes arrests dating back to 2016 for petit larceny, grand larceny and narcotics possession.
