A Florida man handed a note to workers at an Orlando CVS saying he didn’t want to hurt anyone but would “shoot the nearest person” if they didn’t give him the prescription drugs he wanted, cops say.
Thomas Mues, 23, allegedly handed the handwritten note to pharmacy workers at the Curry Ford Road store around 6 p.m. on Oct. 20, according to WFLA News Channel 8 in Tampa.
Just below his dire warning, which was written in black marker, the brazen thief scribbled a detailed shopping list of the medications he was looking for, including specific doses of oxycodone, hydrocodone, Xanax, Adderall, Viagra and liquid codeine, authorities said. .

The pharmacy technician who dealt with Mues said she didn’t realize the store was being robbed at first and continued asking him routine questions while he told her to read the note, according to Law & Crime.

Once he realized the danger, he handed the note to the pharmacist, who collected the medications and put them in a brown bag.
Mues, who was wearing a hat and a surgical mask during the crime, took about 2,500 pills, according to the website.
But the robbery quickly went wrong for the would-be outlaw.
Officers arrived just as Mues was leaving the store and ran after him, the station said. They finally caught up to him and soon had the alleged criminal wearing bracelets.
According to WFLA, the suspect still had the note and the narcotics on him.
Police said Mues later admitted to traveling from Jacksonville to Orlando to rob the pharmacy and confessed to committing a similar robbery in central Florida.

Authorities have charged him with a series of charges including theft, trafficking and possession offenses, WFLA said.
Witnesses said Mues kept his hands in his pockets the entire time and did not point a gun, according to the website.
The bandit later wrote a letter of apology that was included in his affidavit, according to Law & Crime.
“I didn’t mean to hurt anyone inside nor was I carrying a weapon,” he wrote.
“I know this may have been traumatizing for everyone inside and I just wanted to apologize and let you know that I will help put an end to it.”
The site said Mues is being held without bond at the Orange County Jail.
