Former beauty queen Lindsay Shiver claims her ex-NFL husband, whom she allegedly tried to kill, is withholding her children after her return to the US.

The Georgia mother of three accused of plotting a murder-for-hire against her ex-NFL player husband in the Bahamas claims she hasn’t been able to see her children since returning to the U.S. for the holidays.

Lindsay Shiver alleges in a motion filed in Thomas County, Georgia, Superior Court on Jan. 3 that Robert Shiver prevented her from visiting her three children and kept their whereabouts unknown, according to WDHN.

The couple share three children, all under 12 years old.

The former beauty queen was allowed to return to her parents’ home in Alabama on Dec. 22 under the ruling while she awaits trial for murder for hire in the Bahamas.

However, the motion claims that Robert Shiver allegedly broke an agreement that would allow the children to visit Lindsay under the condition that their parents would supervise.

“Plaintiff (Robert Shiver) has denied Defendant (Lindsay Shiver) any in-person contact with the children during the holiday season,” his attorney wrote in the motion, according to the outlet.

Lindsay Shiver’s lawyers argue that she was allowed to talk to her children once (via FaceTime on one of the children’s devices on Christmas Day), but has not been able to contact them since.

Lindsay Shiver was not allowed to travel to Georgia, where she lived with her ex-husband.

“The children are believed to have been left in the care of babysitters for extended periods during the holidays when they could have been in Alabama with their mother and loving family members,” their attorney said.

“The children know that the defendant (Linday Shiver) is at her grandparents’ house in Alabama, and the youngest is especially distraught.”

Robert Shiver, 38, had pleaded with the judge to overturn his request to return to the United States, explaining that he was “grateful to be alive” after her failed attempt on his life.

“After reviewing the indictment, this situation was about to happen… I’m concerned for my safety,” the former Auburn University football player said after the Dec. 21 ruling.

In the same motion, her attorneys said her ex-husband sold her 2021 Cadillac Escalade without asking her and also removed her personal items from the Georgia home they once shared before she allegedly plotted to kill him.

According to the motion, Robert Shiver has allegedly cut off access to financial resources on multiple occasions.

Lindsay Shiver had been remanded in custody in the Bahamas since July, although she had been out of prison under conditions of wearing an electrical monitoring device and adhering to a curfew.

Shiver is accused of ordering her bartender lover Adrien Bethel, 28, and alleged killer Faron Newbold Jr., 29, to murder Robert Shiver amid their increasingly bitter divorce.

The mother of three allegedly sent a series of text messages to Bethel asking her to “kill” her husband.

The plot was foiled after local police unearthed texts detailing the hit during an unrelated investigation into a raid at the oceanfront bar where Bethel worked.

Both Lindsay Shiver and Bethel denied seriously pursuing a murder-for-hire plot.

Before the collapse of their marriage, the Shivers divided their time between a multimillion-dollar mansion in Thomasville, Georgia, and a luxurious estate in the exclusive Bahamian enclave of Baker’s Bay.

The couple met while Robert Shiver was captain of the Auburn University football team in 2007.

Following his college career, Robert Shiver signed with the Atlanta Falcons as a free agent, but was released before the 2009 season.

He later became executive vice president of Senior Life Insurance Company.

Robert Shiver has been dating reality TV star Savannah Chrisley of “Chrisley Knows Best” fame since November 2023.

Lindsay Shiver is expected to return to the Bahamas for her pretrial on February 21, 2024, according to the outlet.

The murder-for-hire trial will begin on March 4.
