Husband dies days after wife, unborn baby killed in car crash before Christmas as they were going to share pregnancy news: reports

The husband of an expectant mother who died in a horrific car accident in Arizona reportedly died just days after his wife and unborn baby.

Parker Stott had been clinging to life (and enduring surgery after surgery) following the Dec. 20 car crash on US 93 in Wickenburg, Arizona, according to KUTV in Salt Lake City, Utah.

But despite doctors’ best efforts, Parker succumbed to his injuries Saturday night.

“Early this morning, Parker went in for his third surgery to clean up his burns a bit, as well as start some skin grafts on his leg,” the family wrote on Instagram.

“At the end of the surgery, surgeons broke the news that Parker’s injuries were even more extensive than we already knew and that the outlook was extremely bleak,” the publication continued.

“A few hours later, we received the update that Parker’s vital signs were going down and he was going fast,” the family wrote.

“We gathered around him as a family, kissed him, hugged him, held his hand, told him how much we loved him and how proud we were of him. He is the strongest person and has fought very hard.”

Chloe Stott, 24, and her husband, Parker, were headed to Arizona for the holidays to tell their families the happy news that she was pregnant when she died in a car accident. _chloestott/Instagram The pair were traveling on Highway 93 in Wickenburg, Arizona, around 8:15 p.m. when they collided with a white Volvo commercial truck after failing to fully pass another car in their lane. clover skin_/Instagram

“At 6:47 p.m., Parker grew her angel wings to fly to heaven to be with her sweet love Chloe and her baby.”

Stott’s death is the tragic conclusion to a Christmas horror story that began when he and his wife went to Arizona to share the news of 24-year-old Chloe Stott’s pregnancy with their families.

“They just found out they were pregnant with a baby and were so excited to be parents and share the news with their loved ones over Christmas,” their friend Jake Toolson wrote on GoFundMe.

Stott and her unborn baby died on impact.

The couple was driving on Highway 93 near Phoenix around 8:15 p.m. when their Toyota Tundra pickup truck crashed into a white Volvo commercial truck, according to KSLTV.

They had been passing other cars in a legal passing zone, but were unable to complete the maneuver around the last vehicle.

Stott and her unborn child died on impact, the station reported. Parker was flown to the Arizona Burn Center, where he was in life-saving intensive care, the GoFundMe said.

But the extent of his injuries proved too great for him to survive.

The mother-to-be was an entrepreneur who ran a popular skin care boutique, Clover Skin Bar, in Lindon, Utah.

Parker had worked as a general contractor, while Chloe was an entrepreneur and social media influencer who ran a popular skin care boutique, Clover Skin Bar, about 40 miles from Salt Lake City.

On the day of the accident, she had posted a loving photo of herself and her husband, with the caption: “You and me forever, Parker.”

Scout Whiteley, Chloe Stott’s friend and business partner, said she was only 10 weeks pregnant, according to KSLTV.

Parker’s injuries had been frighteningly extensive: the family said his burns were so severe that his right leg had to be amputated and he had broken almost every bone in his body.

“As deeply saddened as we are by [lose] “Parker, who had such a positive impact on the lives of so many people and brought us so much happiness here on Earth, we are so grateful for God’s mercy that he can be with Chloe and relieve him of all this pain,” the family wrote in Instagram.

“We know they are in a better place and can be together.”
