‘I make an honest living’: Honduran newspaper seller defends herself against criticism

During the Covid-19 pandemic, which began in 2020 and ended in 2022, the young catracha Belkis Inestroza gained popularity on TikTok when she was caught selling newspapers.

With a mask, mini shorts and a lot of attitude, this is how they captured the popular young woman in the streets of San Pedro Sula, Cortés, in the north of the country.

The 23-year-old was even recognized internationally, especially in Mexico, so she decided to create her own TikTok account.

Belkis shared with her more than 33 thousand followers various moments of her life, dances, videos with her daughter and showed that she was a fan of the Real Club Deportivo España.

However, the newspaper seller quickly stopped using this account after receiving messages of inappropriate proposals, mostly from men offering her money in exchange.

“I earn an honest living,” was the forceful response that the young woman gave and reaffirmed that she loves her work as a newspaper seller, indicates El Heraldo México.

So far, the young woman maintains a low profile and has not published videos on the Chinese platform again, where her followers are still waiting.
