The Colombo fan, who is following the match live, has asked the left-arm seamer to take it easy in the Indian top-flight.
“Fan asks Shaheen Afridi to be nice to India’s top team after traveling 7 hours to watch game.” “Cricket fever is in full swing,” wrote sports journalist Himanshu Pareek, who shared the image. “I drove for 7 hours to watch India bat.” Toh Shaheen Bhai Thoda Aaram Se… Please,” reads a fan’s note.

The image has gone viral, with hundreds of views since it was posted. Many people have commented that Shaheen accepted the request now that the match has started.

Meanwhile, in the last minute, Rohit Sharma announced that batsman Shreyas Iyer had been ruled out of the match due to back spasms. Iyer’s luck seems to have reversed again just before the match.
“Shreyas Iyer had a back spasm during today’s warm-up,” a BCCI bulletin stated. Due to Iyer’s injury, wicketkeeper-batsman KL Rahul was able to replace and represent India in the heated match.
