Jitesh Sharma is an Indian first-class cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and wicketkeeper. He made his List A debut for Vidarbha in the Vijay Hazare Trophy on 27 February 2014. In 2022, he was part of Chennai Super Kings for the Indian Premier League.

Jitesh Sharma was born on November 22, 1993 in a Hindu Brahmin family in the city of Amravati, Maharashtra. His father’s name is Mohan Sharma and his mother’s name is Ashima Sharma. He also has an elder brother, Karnesh Sharma, in his family. Jitesh was inclined towards sports since childhood and started playing professional cricket at a young age.

Career
Early career
Jitesh was the first to join the Vidarbha team. Then in 2014, he played his first match in T20 format against Uttar Pradesh. His first Ranji Trophy match was played in 2015 against team Odisha. He played as an opening batsman and played in T20 format with a strike rate of 133.18. He played 22 matches in Cricket-A list, in which he scored 107 runs and during this his strike rate was 80.38 for Team-A. He has a century in the T20 tournament to his name and scored 106 runs. He started IPL in 2017.
IPL career
Jitesh started IPL with Mumbai Indians in 2017, Mumbai Indians gave him 10 lakh rupees. Punjab Kings bought him for Rs 20 lakh in IPL. During a match, he dismissed MS Dhoni for getting caught behind the stumps and his team won the match. Initially, the umpire had declared that Dhoni was not out, but then Jitesh took the decision from him and took the DRS, so Dhoni was out.
