The twelfth JKBOSE board exam was scheduled for April 1-29. Thousands of students from various parts of Jammu and Kashmir participated in this public exam organized in Jammu and Kashmir. Various streams are available for Class 12 students of Jammu and Kashmir including Science, Home Science, Commerce and Humanities.
- The curriculum of the scientific stream includes several subjects, such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Biotechnology, Geography, Biochemistry, Food Technology, Computer Science, Environmental Sciences, Statistics, Geology, Information Practices and Microbiology.
- The Commerce stream curriculum includes Business Studies, Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Business Mathematics, Typing and Shorthand and Public Administration.
- The Home Science strand curriculum includes Human Development, Extension Education, Food Technology, and Clothing for the Family.
- The Humanities stream curriculum includes General English, Philosophy, Political Science, Food Technology, Public Administration, Education, Domestic Science (optional), Geography, Sociology, Mathematics, Economics, History, Islamic Studies, Statistics, Music, physical education and psychology.
Students receive several compulsory subjects and several elective subjects. Grades for each subject are different in each sequence. For example, the theoretical work of Business Studies contains 100 points, the theoretical work of Accounting contains 80 points and the practical work has 20 points, the theoretical work of Physics has 70 points and the practical work contains 30 points.
Grades are also assigned on JKBOSE result number 12. Grades A1, A1, B1, B2, C1, C2, D, E1 and E2 are assigned to the outcome subjects based on the student’s performance in the exam for that subject.
