He also spent 30 years as a member of the Hardin County Mounted Posse, exemplifying the virtue of service in all facets of his life. His primary commitment outside of his professional activities was to his family. He loved being a caring father to his three daughters, Tamra Potts, Pamela, and Melony, as well as his 63-year-old wife Cheryl. His 17 granddaughters and 40 great-grandchildren benefited from the depth of his love and devotion, leaving a legacy of kindness and concern that will last for many years.
John’s influence extended beyond his close family. Ann Morris, Linda James, and Larry Fay, his siblings, continue to uphold his spirit of civic activity. With a network of nieces, nephews, and sons-in-law who have been impacted by his kindness, John continues to be an influence even after his demise. John Fay, a man of many skills, was well-known for owning and running a Grade A Farm for 12 years.
