York County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Chief Jeremy Forbes said the case remains under investigation and police recovered evidence from Croston’s vehicle that suggests he was high on marijuana at the time of the incident.

Authorities said there was no sign Croston slowed as he approached the Route 202 troopers, his vehicle jumping off the sidewalk and striking the officers.

Police said Croston also faces charges of violating two bail conditions on domestic violence charges.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
