Man Brags About ‘Value System’ And Shares How His 70-Year-Old Mother Still Makes His Bed And Gets Brutally Trolled

A mother’s love has no limits. It is a force of nature, unwavering and unconditional. From the moment a child enters the world, a mother’s heart is forever entwined with hers.

She offers wisdom, guidance and support, helping her son overcome life’s challenges. She is a constant presence, offering encouragement and cheers from the sidelines. But where does she stop?

When did you realize that simple household activities like making the bed, changing the bedding, and tidying up the closet were your responsibilities, not your mother’s?

Man boasts that his 70-year-old mother makes his bed and educates himself

Even though I’m over 70, my mom makes sure that when I get home, my bed is comfortable. The power of a housewife. There is no compulsion for her to do it. However, she does it out of love. The value system that our dharma has instilled protects this society. pic.twitter.com/t58Fir5IrT

A desi guy recently bragged that his elderly mother still did these chores for him, praising her as an excellent ‘housewife’. This tweet, however, quickly garnered considerable attention, as many pointed out that his point of view was truly unfortunate, after which he was brutally berated for his ‘spoiled’ behaviour.

It all started when Twitter user @sansbarrier posted a photo of his well-made bed with the message that his 70-plus mother makes sure that when he gets home, his bed is comfortable. She called it “the power of a housewife.” She also added that there is no compulsion for her to do it, but she still does it “out of love”.

“The value system that our dharma has instilled protects this society,” he concluded. He had no idea that his post would spark such heated controversy.

A woman responded to his tweet saying that as the mother of an 18-year-old, she taught her son to make his own bed and cook his own breakfast from the age of 14. She said she would never want her son to wait for her mom or wife to do her own job in the name of the “value system.”

“On a separate note, nice to see a fit and capable septuagenarian,” he further wrote in his tweet.

As the mother of an 18 year old boy, I taught him how to make his own bed and cook his own breakfast since he was 14 years old. I would never want my son to expect/depend on mom or wife to do his own job in the name of the value system. On a side note, it’s nice to see a fit and capable septuagenarian.

To this the man replied, “That is the point, ma’am. I do not wish to discourage you on the grounds of age. I am quite capable of managing myself, having lived most of my time away from my family.”

One man suggested that he do his homework himself in the morning so his 70-year-old mother wouldn’t have to do it for him.

Do it yourself in the morning so your 70+ mom doesn’t have to.

One woman also shared a story about her 12-year-old brother making his own bed. “He makes his own bed and does his own laundry because he knows his mother loves him, but he doesn’t have to take work out of his mother for her to show her love. All of us brothers let our mother have enough time for herself as well instead of doing our thing,” he wrote in his tweet.

My little brother since he was 12 years old… makes his own bed and washes his own clothes because he knows his mother loves him, but he doesn’t have to take work from his mother for her to show him her love. All of us siblings let our mom have enough time for herself too instead of doing our thing.
