Mangoes are known as the ‘King of Fruits’ and are enjoyed in all parts of the world with great joy. The most expensive mangoes in the world
1. Miyazaki handle
Originally grown in the Japanese city of Miyazaki, this mango is considered one of the most expensive mangoes in the world. It is a type of ‘Irwin mango that is widely cultivated in Southeast Asia. It costs around Rs. 1500 per gram and is also known as the ‘Egg of the Sun’ or ‘Taiyo-no-Tamago’ in Japan.

2. Kohitur handle
It is known as a rare variety of mango found only in Murshidabad of West Bengal. According to popular belief, this variety of mango was created in the 18th century during the Nawab of Bengal Siraj-Ud-Daula. A single Kohitur mango costs around Rs. 1500 as reported by Tfipost.
3. Alfonso Mango
The seasonal fruit harvested from mid-April through May, the Alphonso mango contains unique fragrance, color, flavor, and health benefits. They are the most prized mango variety in India and are mainly grown in the Valsad and Navsari districts of South Gujarat. The cost of the Alphonso mango varies according to its quality and size. However, they range from Rs, 2,200 to 5,000 per dozen.

4. Manila Handle
Also known as Carabao mango or Philippine mango, this mango is mainly grown in the Philippines. They are kidney-shaped and bright yellow with a tinge of green. There are fourteen varieties of Manila mango. A single Manila mango can cost you around Rs 2000 and more depending on the quantity and type.
5. Sindri Mango
Another widely consumed type of mango, the Sindhri mango costs a huge amount that will leave you in awe. It is mainly cultivated in the city of Sindhri and other provinces of Sindh in Pakistan. They are extremely sweet and aromatic and cost up to Rs 3,000 depending on quality and size.
