Meet Kason Lester, former American Idol contestant who auditioned for ‘The Voice 23’

Kason Lester, from Lebanon, Tennessee, is a singer who has released a variety of songs such as “Love You Yet”, “Worth Waiting For”, “Come Together”, etc. He was on season 17 of American Idol in 2019 and made it. to the Hawaii Round among the top 40. He has now auditioned for The Voice 23, judged by Chance the Rapper, Kelly Clarkson, Blake Shelton and Niall Horan.

Who is Kason Lester?

Kason Lester graduated from Belmont University with a degree in music business and production. Lester has been working as a strawberry farmer on the 200-acre Lester Farms with his brother since before the American Idol audition.


Lester was determined to make a name for himself when he auditioned for American Idol with his cover of Chris Janson’s Hold Her in 2019. Although he impressed the judges, including Katy Perry, who said he could be a top 10 contender, Kason was eliminated in the third round with Clay Page and Johanna Jones.

Despite being rejected, Kason received great support from his local community. His hometown hosted a viewing party at the Capital Theater filled with dedicated fans.

This dedication was also followed by their original EP “Born and Raised,” which spawned the hit single “Love You Yet,” which reached over 350,000 streams on Spotify.
