Michigan woman ‘freaked out’ after winning more than $900K in lottery: ‘I thought something was wrong’

A 39-year-old woman from Macomb County, Michigan, won nearly a million dollars after thinking her lottery app was not working.

The woman, who did not want to be identified, won $925,434 on a Super Lucky 7s Fast Cash ticket, according to the Michigan Lottery in a Jan. 5 news release.

He bought the ticket on Nov. 16 at a liquor store in Romeo, Michigan, about 40 miles north of Detroit.

The lottery winner said that every few weeks, she and her husband would “go to the store and buy a bunch of tickets and then come home and scratch them off.”

He added: “While we were in the store, I saw that the Fast Cash jackpot was approaching a million dollars, so I bought some Fast Cash tickets.”

When the lottery winner got home, she looked at her ticket and thought “she hadn’t won,” she said.

“But I scanned it into the Michigan Lottery app to be sure,” he also said.

Turns out it was a good decision.

The app told him he had won $925,434.
