‘Mistress’ accused of shooting her lover’s girlfriend and her 1-year-old son

A Florida woman involved in an alleged love triangle has been accused of shooting at a car carrying her lover’s girlfriend and her 1-year-old son, police said.

Zehra Percy, 20, was arrested Friday in connection with the Nov. 4 incident in South Daytona, police said.

Police responded to an apartment complex in South Daytona shortly after 9 p.m. after receiving reports of a shooting.

The victim told police that she and her little boy were headed to a local Wendy’s when she saw a silver Acura that she said she had seen driving past her home in Daytona Beach over the past few days, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by The Post.

The Acura was parked outside the apartment complex, so the victim decided to stop by the vehicle and find out who the owner was and why they had stopped by his house.

After about 2 minutes, the victim saw her boyfriend and the father of her baby leave an apartment with an “unknown female,” later identified as Percy, according to the document.

The victim briefly exited her car, but then heard someone yell, “He’s got a gun,” prompting her to quickly retreat to her car to take cover.

The victim sped away and called 911. Both the mother and child escaped unharmed.

Responding police officers interviewed witnesses who largely corroborated the victim’s account of the shooting.

Over the course of the investigation, detectives said they determined that Percy was the “mistress” of the victim’s boyfriend.

On Friday, police located Percy during a traffic stop and took her into custody, according to the affidavit.

When asked for permission to search her car for the gun used in the shooting, the 20-year-old allegedly told them she had returned it to her “sugar daddy.”

Percy was booked into the Volusia County Jail for felony shooting at a vehicle. She was released that same day after posting $5,000 bail.

Percy is due back in court for his arraignment on December 5.
