Mother of 4-year-old twins shot dead during a fight with a couple at a Florida bar

A mother of twins was shot to death after being severely beaten by a man and his girlfriend at a Florida bar early Wednesday morning.

The deadly altercation at the Mugs & Jugs bar and in Pensacola began as a fight between Tierra Binion, 25, and Rachel DeRise, 23, around 1 a.m., before escalating into the parking lot, police said.

Initially, the fight was “mutually combative,” until DeRise’s boyfriend, Christian Ketchup, stepped in and knocked Binion out with a blindside punch, Escambia County Sheriff Chip Simmons told WEAR.

“During the fight, Christian Ketchup just jumps into [Binion] and hits her and throws her aside,” Simmons said.

DeRise allegedly continued to attack Binion, jumping on her and landing punches on her unconscious body.

Ketchup then allegedly pulled out a pistol and fired seven rounds at Binion, killing the mother at the scene.

He then called the police and turned himself in.

Tierra Binion was shot and killed outside the Mug & Jugs bar during an argument Wednesday.

The alleged killer was charged with murder and is being held without bail.

DeRise was charged with assault for her part in the fight. She was released Thursday after posting $15,000 bail, according to Law and Crime.

“Ketchup Punches [Binion] “He may have knocked her out, and then she jumped on her and started hitting her again,” the sheriff told WEAR.

“Obviously there is no reason to do that. You could have easily walked away. That’s not a mutually combative type of situation.”

Mug & Jugs temporarily closed after the incident.

Binion’s sister, Diamond Johnson, said the victim was a “sweet soul”.

“The situation has escalated and escalated to something irreplaceable,” Johnson told People.

“And now Earth is gone.”

Binion divided her time between Florida and Virginia with her husband and 4-year-old children, and had plans to join the military, her sister said.
