This optical illusion further enhances the creative experience, inviting viewers to solve the riddle hidden in plain sight.

The band used an optical illusion in their 2005 song, NY Excuse. At first glance, the cover looks like a monochrome black and white grid. But the more you examine the photo, the more it seems like there’s something hidden.
For years, fans of the band have been baffled by the illusion, but if you can quickly identify the hidden message, you might gain insight. Soulwax has also used similar optical illusions for larger album covers, such as those for Any Minute Now and Nite Versions.
Reddit users have been raving about the puzzle, with one commenting: “great covers for an amazing band.”
For decades, many other bands have adopted illusions as their album art. Rock group Boston employed inverted UFO guitars for their self-titled album as early as the 1970s. 2009 saw the release of a monochromatic grid-shaped version of 200 Million Thousand by rock group Black Lips.
