Prince Harry’s friends ‘don’t know anything about him’, says Charles’ former butler, a month after the royal skipped a friend’s wedding

Prince Harry’s old friends are no longer hearing from him, according to King Charles’ former butler.

Grant Harrold, who worked for the monarch for seven years when he was Prince of Wales, claims the Duke of Sussex cut all ties with friends he once shared with his brother, Prince William.

“I know quite a few friends of Harry’s who don’t know anything about him now,” Harrold said.

Since stepping down as senior members of the royal family in 2020, Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, have crossed the pond in a bid to start anew.

Since uprooting his life and starting over in Montecito, California, the Duke has apparently done the same with his friends.

Harry is known to have failed to show up to his friend Jack Mann’s wedding in July, despite him being in the wedding party at his own nuptials.

The Sussexes’ absence came as a surprise to guests, especially since Mann, who is an old polo friend of Harry’s, appeared in the “band of brothers” photo at Windsor Castle on May 19, 2018.

Mann, who was reportedly known as Harry’s “unofficial godfather,” has remained tight-lipped about the guest list since the duke’s absence was noted.

And according to Harrold, the same can be said for Harry’s relationship with his brother after the pair were “the best of friends.”

“They were both very social guys,” Harrold said on behalf of Spin Genie. “And that’s what’s so sad now, how they’ve gone from best friends to really non-existent. “They have become very distant.”

The former royal butler recalled spending time with William and Harry and said they “always had fun together” before their split years later.

“I mainly worked with them as they approached their teens and twenties,” he said. “I liked the way they got along with each other. They always had fun together and joked around. They played pranks and teased each other, but it was harmless.”

“They were best friends and they also had the same friends. “You would see them together in pubs,” Harrold added. “It was a great moment for them.”
