Rep. Nancy Mace splits from fiancé, talks ‘frequently’ about sex life in office: report

Rep. Nancy Mace frequently talked about her sex life in front of junior staff in her Capitol Hill office while dating her now ex-fiancé, according to a report.

“He frequently made sexual references in the office and talked about things that were not appropriate in a work environment,” a former South Carolina Republican staffer told the Daily Mail.

If Mace was subjecting her staff to stories about her bedroom antics, the 46-year-old congresswoman could face an investigation by the House Ethics Committee if one of her aides filed a complaint with the panel.

She’s already involved in a complicated legal dispute with her ex, Charleston businessman Patrick Bryant, over a pair of multimillion-dollar homes the former couple bought together, according to the outlet.

Mace reportedly broke up with Bryant, who popped the question in May 2022, because she found him on a dating app.

Bryant told the Daily Mail that he hadn’t been active on the app since before the two became an item and that he recently deleted an old profile that was still showing up.

Mace, who has served in the House of Representatives since 2021, has made uncomfortable public comments about her frisky ex-fiancé in the past.

In one awkward moment in July, he suggested he was almost late to former Republican presidential candidate Tim Scott’s prayer breakfast because Bryant wanted to be intimate.

“When I woke up this morning at seven, they picked me up at 7:45. Patrick, my fiancé, tried to pull me by the waist this morning in bed and I was like, ‘No, honey, we don’t have time for that this morning.’ I have to get to the prayer breakfast and I have to get there on time.’ A little bit of TMI,” Mace said to a room full of Christians at the event.

“I know it can wait… I’ll see him later tonight,” he added as some in the crowd laughed nervously.

Mace, one of eight Republican lawmakers who voted to unseat former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) in October, was criticized by the outgoing politician for his claims that he was not keeping his word.

“So I call [Mace’s] chief of staff… I said, ‘Can you please tell me that I don’t understand? Where have I broken my word?’” McCarthy told reporters the day he was removed from the presidency. “The chief of staff said: ‘He has kept his word 100%.’

“His chief of staff told us all that we have kept our every word. And he said that he had also told her that,” her former spokesperson added.

That chief of staff, Dan Hanlon, has since been fired by Mace, according to the Washington Examiner, and his firing was followed by at least five other aides leaving his office.

On the same day he voted to expel McCarthy, Mace appeared to violate House rules by soliciting donations at the Capitol complex and asking Fox Business viewers to visit his website and contribute to his campaign during an interview with the network. .

The congresswoman’s office did not respond to the Post’s request for comment on Friday.
