Birth and early life
Samay Raina was born on 26 October 1997 in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir in a Kashmiri Pandit family. But due to security concerns, her family had to leave her hometown and move to New Delhi. After a few years, they moved to Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. Samay completed her studies from Hyderabad and obtained her graduate degree in Printing Engineering from Pune Vidhyarthi Griha College of Engineering and Technology.

Career
Samay has a great sense of humor and observation skills. He started his comedy career on the open mic stage in his college days. He performed within the university campus at first and then outside the university boundaries. After several open mics, he started performing as a professional comedian in Pune. After obtaining recognition and growth, he began to perform in different cities across the country.
The Amazon Prime Stand-Up Competition Comicstaan season 2 It became the turning point of his career. Ultimately, Samay became the joint winner of the contest. He shared the podium with comedian Aakash Gupta.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, when all outdoor shows are cancelled. Raina started a YouTube channel where she streamed chess games online. Comedian Tanmay Bhatt suggested him to stream the chess game online as per Samay’s statement on her channel. Samay started streaming with other comedians like Tanmay Bhatt, Akash Gupta and more. But Samay reached the masses after inviting YouTuber sensation Antonio Radic, the name of his channel is Agadmator.
After his channel grew furiously, Indian grandmaster Vidit Gujrathi approached him to invite him on his show and Samay followed suit and that move gave more impetus to his channel. Due to his efforts to promote chess in India through his channel, he is appreciated by many chess veterans like Vishwanathan Anand, Anish Giri and Baskaran Adhiban.
