Shernavaz Jijina was born on September 22, 1995 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, in a Muslim family. His father is a small businessman and his mother is an entrepreneur. She has two sisters sisters. After completing her graduation, she started working in the corporate sector. Jijina made his first debut with the web series Bang Baaja Baaraat (2015) alongside Ali Fazal, playing the role of Gurpreet. This series got a mixed response from the audience. After a few years, she was cast in a small cameo as Shabnam in the web series Mirzapur, however, her role was expanded and she played an important lead role in the second season of Mirzapur.
