Sonali Phogat was born on September 21, 1979 in Bhutan, a small town Fatehabad. His father is a farmer and is dedicated to agriculture. She has three sisters and one brother in the family. She studied in an institute located in Noida Sector 1.
Phogat started her career as an anchor on Hisar Doordarshan. She joined the BJP’s National Working Committee while she was an anchor. After this, she received many offers of roles, left the host and entered the world of acting. She has worked with well-known actors like Ravi Kishan and Jimmy Shergill. Phogat played Nawab Shah’s wife in the show ‘Amma’ aired on Zee TV.

Death
On August 23, 2022, Phogat was declared dead at St Anthony’s Hospital in Anjuna, Goa. Police initially suspected she died of a suspected heart attack. The Goa police soon filed a murder case after the autopsy report showed blunt injuries on her. The two main accused, Sudhir Sangvan and Sukhwinder Singh, were arrested by the Goa police on August 25.
