The man took to Twitter to share his happiness, which naturally led users into a collective state of awe as they struggled to understand this remarkable story.
Nitin Agarwal, a Delhi-based technician, wrote on the microblogging site: “Never lose hope! I got this from AliExpress (now banned in India) in 2019 and it arrived today.”
Along with his tweet, he included an intriguing photo of the item, which was emblazoned with strange Chinese characters. The visible date on the package, May 2019, caught everyone’s attention, confirming that the order was placed while the now-banned Chinese app was still active.
AliExpress was banned in India in 2020
For those unfamiliar, AliExpress is the online shopping business of a Chinese multinational corporation. It was one of many Chinese apps, including the notorious TikTok, that was banned in India in 2020 due to security concerns.
