A bumbling suspected arsonist set himself on fire while trying to burn down a Florida church earlier this month.
An unidentified man carrying a can of gasoline approached the Ministry of Energy Outreach in Oakland Park around 1:40 a.m. on Aug. 14, surveillance footage released Thursday by the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office shows. Broward.

A large flame erupts around the man, who was wearing shorts and a T-shirt, and footage shows him stumbling to escape and ignite the second puddle of gasoline.
This time, the fire dances around her legs and appears to climb up her arms as she struggles to escape the blaze, flames licking at her feet as she flees down the street.

It is unknown what his motive was for setting fire to the church.
Emergency services quickly extinguished the flames, according to Fox News.
“After extinguishing the fire, firefighters alerted officers to evidence that the fire at the Ministry of Energy may have been set intentionally. The Oakland Park City Fire Marshal responded to the scene and determined the fire was arson,” the Broward County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.

The suspect is still on the run.
