Career

Sachdev started playing chess at a young age. His mother introduced him to chess when he was only 6 years old and it soon piqued his interest. After seeing her interest in this game, her parents encouraged her to learn and play more. At the age of 8 she won her first international title. Her training was done by trainer KC Joshi. She was in under-12 of the Indian Champion and under-14 in the 2000 Asian Women’s Champion.

She participated in the Women’s Chess Olympiad in 2008. In 2009 and 2011, she participated in the World Women’s Team Chess Championship. Since 2003 she has participated in the Asian Women’s Chess Championship. She was also a contender in the 2006 Asian Games and the 2009 Asian Indoor Games.
