Teen driver dies after car drags her 3 miles following horrific New Year’s crash

A 19-year-old Wisconsin woman died on New Year’s Eve after crashing while driving four friends home; She was then hit by a friend in another car and dragged for at least three miles, according to authorities.

Grimes’ sister, Tj Grimes, launched an online fundraiser to help her family pay for the young woman’s memorial service and cremation.

“Taya brought light to people’s darkest days with her cheerful personality and sense of humor,” the sister wrote. “She loved the car scene, the sunsets and hanging out with her friends.”
