Texas authorities are investigating a domestic violence incident in which they say a woman stabbed her husband and left him for dead before taking their three children to a nearby lake.
Local police and firefighters responded to a call at 7:48 a.m. Friday from a man who claimed he had been stabbed by his wife, Carrollton police said in a statement.
Police in nearby Lewisville then responded to reports that a woman, later confirmed to be the stabbed man’s wife, had driven a vehicle into a lake with her three children inside, the news release continued.
The woman and children (ages 8, 9 and 12) were taken to the hospital, where she was subsequently taken into custody “pending criminal charges.”
