A model accused of swindling her own mother out of nearly $150 million through an elaborate psychic scheme has died after a mysterious fall from a building in Brazil. She was 49 years old.
Sabine Boghici collapsed from the fifth floor of a building in Rio de Janeiro on September 14, Jam Press reports. Police investigating her death are reportedly considering several hypotheses, including her suicide.
He is said to have left a letter to his wife, Rosa Stanesco Nicolau, before his death.
Boghici was buried Sunday at a funeral attended by her mother, Geneviève, 83, and her sister, Muriel, Globo 1 reports.

Sabine, a self-proclaimed singer and actress, was arrested in August 2022.
His mother had inherited a fortune from his father, Jean Boghici, a collector of Romanian origin who owned one of the most important art collections in Brazil of the 20th century. He died in 2015 at the age of 87.

Alarmed, the wealthy widow went to Sabine, who allegedly feigned terror and implored her mother to foot the bill for the “spiritual work” necessary to prevent this dire premonition.
The octogenarian finally relented and began making regular payments in a bid to save her daughter’s life.
In February 2020, Geneviève began to realize that she was being scammed and stopped transferring money.
In response, Sabine allegedly took her mother’s cell phone, stopped feeding her and threatened her with a knife, according to Correio Braziliense.
Sabine is also accused of firing her mother’s maid so she could remove artwork from the house without interference.

According to police chief Gilberto Ribeiro, who presided over the investigation, Sabine and his wife stated that “the paintings had the evil eye, something negative that had to be prayed for.”
“They continued to take them, and the old woman saw it but couldn’t refuse; she was completely shut down at that point,” she said.
The loot was reported to be worth $149 million, including $1.2 million in jewelry, more than $1.8 million in payments for divine diagnosis (including those received under threat), and more than $145 million in works of art, including museum works by Brazilian pioneers Tarsila. do Amaral and Emiliano Di Cavalcanti.
