Amar Sirohi, an Instagram food blogger, has created a film that takes us inside an ice cream factory where orange popsicles are prepared. He also uploaded a detailed video of the procedure to his Foodie Incarnate YouTube channel.

The video begins with the makers preparing the popsicle mix. They combine sweetened water, maltodextrin, and milk solids in a container, then add orange essence and food colouring.

The fluid is then cooled on popsicle-shaped sets in an attempt to freeze it. When the mixture has frozen halfway, the producers embed sticks into it. The popsicles are then completely frozen before being loaded into the packing machinery.

The Instagram video elicited a range of opinions from the social media community. While some continued to reminisce about their childhood, others expressed concerns about hygiene. Since being posted on the Meta platform, the video has gained over 6,80,000 views and over 22,000 likes.

A user on Instagram noticed the use of dangerous dyes and ingredients in the orange popsicles right away. “Never gonna eat this again after watching this,” he said.

Another user suggested that the government prohibit the manufacture of such ice cream sticks since they are “absolutely unhealthy and extremely harmful.” He also complimented Amar Sirohi for shedding light on the production process. Aside from the sanitary issue, one user stated, “These popsicles taste really good.”
