Trio arrested for kidnapping 11-year-old Indiana girl found 350 miles away

Two men and a woman from South Dakota were arrested in Wisconsin on Sunday after allegedly kidnapping an 11-year-old girl in Indiana the day before.

The victim was “safely” taken into the custody of authorities after he traveled about 350 miles with his alleged captors, who were reportedly “possibly armed,” authorities said.

Zachary Delozier, 27, Sara Gaudino, 23, and Isaiah Schryvers, 24, were arrested in the city of Dodgeville after a Silver Alert was issued.

All were charged with kidnapping of a minor, according to the Iowa County Sheriff’s Office.

A multi-state manhunt began after Wells County, Indiana, officials issued a Silver Alert saying the missing girl had been picked up in a “white Dodge camper” from a trailer park in Zanesville, outside of Fort Wayne, at 3:30 p.m.

Dozens of agencies across the Hoosier state mobilized to search for the girl, deploying helicopters and drones, according to WPTA-TV.

The suspects evaded capture in Indiana and passed through Illinois before being discovered by authorities at a gas station in Barneveld, Wisconsin.

They were detained a short time later and the girl was “safely removed,” according to officials.

The Dodgeville and Mineral Point police departments, officials from the Wisconsin Department of Justice and the Iowa County departments of highways and social services were involved in the arrest and investigation, Sheriff Michael Peterson said.
