Bernard Mascarenhas, who videotaped and posted the event on Instagram, reported that it occurred on November 22 around 8:30 p.m. near the Horamavu Bridge.

Mascarenhas said the motorcyclist began the attack on his car while he was trying to make a U-turn. He claimed the young man shouted in Kannada, made threatening gestures and broke the window before fleeing.
