What Do You See First? Optical Illusion Offers Clues About Your Optimism Or Procrastination

A new optical illusion has surfaced claiming that it can tell you whether you’re an optimist or a chronic procrastinator based on what animal you perceive at first glance.

Mia Yilin from the United States released a now-viral TikTok video in which she suggests that deciphering what you first see can help you gain insights about your personality.

A rabbit and a duck are the two animals to keep an eye out for.

If you saw the duck first

If you notice the duck first, you are someone who appears “very optimistic” on the outside but is actually a pessimist.

“Your emotions are quite unstable, and you can be happy one second but depressed the next,” Yilin explained.

“You’re usually an extremely understanding and forgiving person. However, if someone violates your heart boundaries, you will be furious.”

If you saw the rabbit first

You are a persistent procrastinator if you spot the bunny first.

“It’s very difficult to do something if you don’t feel passionate about it,” she remarked.

“But even if you take it very seriously, it’s as if you physically cannot bring yourself to act until the very last minute.”

“You’re also very good at masking your emotions, so even if you’re having a complete mental breakdown on the inside, you can appear perfectly fine on the outside.”

The image is reminiscent of the world-famous rabbit-duck illusion, which was initially published in a German magazine in 1892.

In 1899, US psychologist Joseph Jastrow made the painting famous.

The graphic is meant to depict how rapidly your brain works to determine your level of creativity.

Those who can see both animals have a better feeling of inventiveness than the majority of individuals.
