Katrina Sila was 34 years old while her son Kai Prahastono was 2 years old. They reportedly died after her SUV crashed into a cement truck on the side of the Hume Freeway in Menangle Park. This shocking incident took place on Monday, March 13, 2023, at around 11:20 am. The third victim was Ivy, a three-month-old daughter of Katrina Sila. Surprisingly, the girl remained trapped in the wrecked SUV for about an hour until the rescue team pulled her out of the car. Ivy was rushed to Children’s Hospital located in Westmead via air ambulance. The child was in critical condition when she was taken to the hospital.
After fighting for her life, Ivy succumbed to her injuries Wednesday morning. The father of the late Ian Prahastono, also known as Ilham, was not with them at the time of the accident.
