Well, believe it or not, the film is not only now becoming a catalyst for feminist discourse but also somehow acting as a litmus test for women who want to assess the men in their lives and weigh their importance based on their views on the movie.
Many women shared on social media how a negative reaction or even apathetic question from their partners after watching the film became reason enough for them to cut ties with the men who seemingly could not process the point of the film.
So, the women are apparently now using the ‘Barbie Test’ as an assessment of their boyfriends and their views on living life as a woman. They are using the film as a test to gauge how receptive their boyfriends are to the feminist message of the film.

One woman took to Twitter and shared how after the movie ended, her partner mocked her for crying while watching the film. She reveals how this kind of reaction from her male partner became a reason she started considering wanting to break up with him.

Seeing the post, many women came forward and agreed with the user on wanting to end things after watching the movie and feeling yet another push to cut ties seeing their boyfriends and their oblivious reaction to the film and its message.
