Last year, WhatsApp added a feature called “multi-device,” which allows people to use their WhatsApp account on more than one device at the same time without their smartphone. Buddy Mode is a new feature that has just been added to WhatsApp for Android users as part of a beta update. With the new feature, you can instantly use your WhatsApp account on another phone. Since WhatsApp is the most popular messaging app in the world, many people worry about their privacy when using it on many different devices. To fix this issue, WhatsApp has reportedly started offering beta testers a new verification option.
WABetaInfo says that the feature will allow you to use a 6-digit code to log into your WhatsApp account securely. In simple terms, this feature is a lot like one-time password (OTP) login, where you get a new set of six numbers every time you try to log in.

According to the screenshot from the report, the Meta-owned messaging platform offers users three ways to get the 6-digit login code: through the app on the main device, through a text message or through a phone call.

Once you enter the 6-digit login code you got on your primary device, you will be able to use your WhatsApp account on another device. As already stated, the feature is only available to a few lucky Android beta testers. WhatsApp hasn’t said anything official about the feature, but the security update is likely to be included in the next version.
