The Titan submarine disaster claimed the lives of five people, including businessman, investor and philanthropist Shahzada Dawood and his son Suleman. Christine Dawood, a trainer and psychotherapist, was Shahzada’s wife. The couple also had a daughter named Alina in addition to Suleman. In a recent interview with the BBC, Christine revealed that she had initially been given the option to ride the Titan because Suleman was too young to do so. However, she consented to allow Suleman to travel for as long as he wished. She went on to say that Suleman always carried a Rubik’s cube and could solve it in 12 seconds. She said that by watching the YouTube lessons, her son learned how to solve the Rubik’s cube. Christine stated that her union with Shahzada began at a university.
Who is Christine Dawood?
Christine Dawood said that despite learning that contact with Titan was lost when it submerged, she was still optimistic. “She claims that once they crossed the 96 hour mark, she lost hope. “She is preparing for the worst,” Shee added. She lost hope at that point, she continued. She expressed concern that she and Alina couldn’t move on, so they decided to learn how to solve a Rubik’s Cube. Christine stated that they will continue Shahzada’s work: She believes that she really wants to carry on her legacy and give her that platform since he was involved in so many activities and helped so many people. Her daughter also considers it quite essential. Shahzada Dawood has worked for a variety of companies during her career, including the World Economic Forum, Engro Corporation, and Dawood Hercules Corporation. He married Christine Dawood in 2001 and they later gave birth to Suleman and Alina.
Christine, who was born in Germany, first intended to pursue a career in engineering. However, she gave up on her plans, as she and her husband died in a plane crash in 2019. She started the business mentoring firm Next Step Now the year before. Alina, the daughter of Christine and Shahzada, has a degree in English literature. Most of Suleman and Alina’s childhood was spent between London and Karachi, Pakistan.
Suleman majored in business while attending the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland. Because of his common passion for adventure and discovery, he and his father had a strong relationship. According to the couple’s obituary at the British Asian Trust, Shahzada and Suleman had a wonderful connection; they were each other’s biggest supporters and treasured a common enthusiasm for adventure and seeing all the land has to offer.
