Mickey Huang Zijiao, a Taiwanese comedian and broadcaster, was admitted to hospital after openly acknowledging allegations of sexual harassment in videos posted on his Facebook page. The 51-year-old man was accused of forcing a woman to kiss him when she was just 17 and even forced her to take nude pictures for her art at the time. More than ten years have passed since the tragedy. The woman, Zofia, wrote in a Facebook post on the morning of May 19 that she was sobbing uncontrollably and instantly regretted her actions. Huang said that even though she was crying, she still looked beautiful. She went on to say that every time she thought about it, she felt sick. Huang responded by shooting several movies that day and posting them on Facebook. The videos have since been removed.

Huang said he had been considering how to handle what had happened up to that point in a video where he could not be seen. First, Huang expressed his regret for disappointing the victim and his followers. He claimed that the recent #metoo campaign in Taiwan had given him goosebumps. He went on to say that his wife, 31-year-old actress Summer Meng, was unaware of this aspect of her past, and that since she first met Meng ten years ago, she had undergone a positive transformation. She said that becoming a father in the past year has inspired him to work even harder. But he was aware that it was too late to erase or hide what he had done. Huang went on to explain how he came to have a perverted mentality.
He said: “He has been thinking about how he became like this. She’s not trying to defend herself.” Huang revealed that when he was only 10 years old, his mother had an affair with a taxi driver. Being a needy child, she followed her everywhere. She was shocked to learn that she once had sex in her presence. He said: “He still remembers what happened today.” Later, his parents separated. Huang also said that as a child he discovered pornography in his father’s bedroom. He had a romantic relationship with some of his male high school classmates as he grew up, which made her question his sexual orientation.
After making the recordings, Huang allegedly harmed himself and was later taken to the hospital. Chang Hsiao-yen, Huang’s manager and mentor, expressed his sadness. Huang was discovered with multiple cuts all over his body, but Taiwanese media said he is currently in stable condition. Later, Meng informed reporters that he is still trying to maintain the circumstances. Reacting to Huang’s assertion, Wu told the media that he is very concerned about Huang, but also mentioned that he may consider taking legal action to safeguard Huang’s interests.
