The fuel tanker truck involved in this accident was reportedly full of gasoline and was on its way to Takoradi as it came from Accra. Commander DO II of the Winneba Fire Service, named Kwesi Hughes, said after hearing an eyewitness: “So [the tanker driver] rather he entered the lane of the Yutong because at that time the driver of the Yutong had also entered his lane,” an investigation is still ongoing and officers are looking into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
