Hungarian Woman Diagnosed With Herlyn-Werner-Wunderlich Syndrome
At 28 years old, Adel Varga was officially diagnosed with Herlyn-Werner-Wunderlich syndrome, which is an extremely rare disorder that could raise the risk of having endometriosis and infertility.
By the time Varga turned 14, she was suffering from excruciating pains while she had her periods. Even though she saw numerous doctors throughout the span of the next 10 years, she did not receive the full diagnosis of her condition until she turned 28.
After being diagnosed with the condition, Varga was informed that she would have slim chances of ever conceiving a child. Now, after giving birth to her miracle baby, the new mom from Hungary shared that she always suspected something was not right with her body, ever since she was an adolescent.
At 20, Varga Found Out She Had A Blind Vagina
Varga revealed that over the years, she was misdiagnosed by several practitioners and medical experts until she found out the full truth of her condition. At 20, Varga was diagnosed with uterus didelphys when it was found out that she had a “regular” vagina and a blind vagina, a vagina blocked from the reproductive system by a wall of tissue.
It was also found that she also had a second cervix, which was not visible because of her blind vagina, which was full of menstruation blood. Varga explained, “In 2018, I underwent vaginal septum surgery, which cut a hole so the blood could flow out. After that, my periods were far more bearable, and it also got rid of years of bacterial vaginal infection.”
Varga’s condition affected not only her health but also her personal and romantic lives. At the start of 2020, her three-year relationship broke off, she thinks, because her partner was concerned about her condition and her inability to have kids.

However, in August of the same year, Varga met her now-husband, Balázs Pór. On their very first date, she brought up her condition and came clean about the possibility of her never becoming a mother.
Four months into their relationship, the couple started trying for a baby. Varga noted, “I was not able to get pregnant, and when it had reached the 10-month mark, we decided to go to a fertility clinic for further examination.”
This was when she was diagnosed with chronic endometritis in both her uteri. She also found out that she only had one kidney at the age of 28 after she was rushed to the hospital for excruciating pain in her back. This is when she got the correct diagnosis.
Finally, on her birthday, December 1, Varga got to know that the fertility test had worked and she was pregnant.
