A woman chased actor Gary Busey after he allegedly crashed his car on a Malibu highway and drove off, then refused to give him her insurance information when she caught up with him at a restaurant.
The “Buddy Holly Story” star, 79, is under investigation for his involvement in the alleged hit-and-run that occurred Wednesday, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to The Post.
The woman, who was not identified, told TMZ she was driving on Pacific Coast Highway when Busey left a shopping center and hit the rear bumper before leaving the scene.
“Sir, you hit my car, I need your information,” the woman yelled at the “Point Break” star as they drove side by side, according to crazy footage obtained by TMZ.
“Sir, you hit my car,” the louder woman yelled as Busey drove away.

Finally, he caught up with the actor in the parking lot of a restaurant and demanded that he hand over his insurance information while pointing out scuff marks on his Volvo, according to the images.
“I want the information,” he said sternly.
“I’m private,” Busey replied as he returned to his car.
“It doesn’t matter, you hit me,” the woman replied. “I want the number.”
“Progressive insurance,” Busey said.

The standoff ends with Busey running away again as the woman continues to scream, TMZ video shows.
The sheriff’s office said a police report has been filed and detectives have yet to contact Busey.
No charges have been filed, although the case could be referred to the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office upon investigation.
This isn’t the first time Busey has faced legal trouble or suffered a mishap in Malibu.

He was charged with sexual offenses and harassment at the Monster-Mania convention in New Jersey last year. He said that his accusers fabricated the accusations.
In February 2015, Busey hit a woman while reversing out of a shopping center on the iconic Pacific Coast Highway. The woman was treated at the scene and released.
The actor was not immediately cited, Page Six reported at the time, and investigators said there was no evidence that alcohol or drugs were involved.
Busey is best known for being a character actor who plays primarily supporting roles, although he rose to prominence after appearing as Holly in the 1978 biographical film, which earned him an Academy Award for Best Actor.
He suffered brain damage after a near-fatal motorcycle accident in 1988.
